Development/Patreon Update

Hello everyone,

We have officially crossed over 600 downloads on the demo! I am shocked at the initial download count and the early support. The Android port released several days after the demo launch, but I can confirm that the Android port will now release alongside the Windows and Mac versions simultaneously.

Thank You for Early Feedback

Early feedback has been positive on the visual direction and character design. The demo released was short but showed off many of the systems in the game that I will be using to drive the story forward. Texting animations, a phone texting system, floating dialogue options, movie visualizers, and selectable objects. It took me a bit of time to get these systems in place and working in Renpy together, but now that I have successfully implemented them, I can focus on pushing the story forward more in future updates. If you’re happy with the current visual design and direction of the game, then I’m happy to say it will continue forward like this.

What’s Next?

I have started story drafting for the second update. The second update is planned to be longer than the demo with more dialogue and more characters introduced into the story. I do not have a timeframe yet on release, but I will be focusing heavily on it to release as soon as possible! There are a few elements in the demo that need to be fixed or added, and those will be included in the next update as well.

Farmboy And The Wolf is a story-first visual novel with elements of NSFW content. Currently, I don't plan to release NSFW "selfies" of Jesse or Nathaniel until I move the story forward more (this to me is more meaningful). I want to focus on developing the characters further and focus on the second update before spending too much time on additional content that will slow me down. I will, however, share behind-the-scenes work, 3D assets being created, set creation, and character renders (some of these could be a bit spicy too!). Once I have progressed further in the development and I’m happy with progress, I will revisit the NSFW extra content and hopefully release some “selfies” you will enjoy.
